Canada Has What the World Wants: Transforming Critical Mineral Supply Chains
Abstract:
Rapidly growing demand for critical minerals and rare earths tied to batteries, renewable energy, and defence, alongside the need to diversify global supply chains, has reinforced Canada’s strategic narrative that “Canada has what the world wants,” shaped by G7, IEA, and NATO supply‑security priorities. This presentation examines how Canada reached this point and where it is heading, focusing on the intersection of industry capability, policy alignment, and the push to transform end‑to‑end critical mineral supply chains.
