who will deliver an online presentation on:

Canada Has What the World Wants: Transforming Critical Mineral Supply Chains

Abstract:

Rapidly growing demand for critical minerals and rare earths tied to batteries, renewable energy, and defence, alongside the need to diversify global supply chains, has reinforced Canada’s strategic narrative that “Canada has what the world wants,” shaped by G7, IEA, and NATO supply‑security priorities. This presentation examines how Canada reached this point and where it is heading, focusing on the intersection of industry capability, policy alignment, and the push to transform end‑to‑end critical mineral supply chains.

About our presenters:

BIO: David Anonychuk is Senior Vice President – Advisory and Growth, North America at DRA Global, with over 30 years of global experience in mining, metallurgy, and strategy, working across the full mining value chain. A former senior executive at SGS, Glencore and Xstrata, he is recognized for his leadership in critical minerals and their role in battery, defence, and energy supply chains.

He has presented to NATO and the White House, and regularly speaks at senior industry, policy, and media forums, including BNN Bloomberg. David serves as Co‑Chair of the Critical Mineral Council for the Canadian Chamber of Commerce, is a member of the International Energy Agency’s (IEA) Critical Mineral Expert Advisory Group, and sits on advisory panels to Natural Resources Canada.
